Marpole Masters Curling League
Masters are for 60 years and up (Persons between 55 and 59 years can join also - but up to 1 per team during league and PCMCA bonspiels)
They could play as a team for the first couple of boxes if they like but will be put in the pick up pool for the last two boxes - makes it a friendly affair. 20 game schedule for $240.00/ person — includes Xmas turkey lunch and year end AGM lunch. Of course they have to pay for the usual Marpole fees. 9:30am start on Fridays. As usual play to the bell at 11:00 - finish the end you are playing (once the last rock comes to a stop the end is over.) plus one more. It’s a friendly league, so although the score is kept for each box there is no cumulative score or prize money. The only use for the cumulative score is for choosing a skip/team for the club championship.
There are exclusive Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association bonspiels they can play in which guarantees 5 games over 3 days (usually Monday through Wednesday and includes a full meal lunch on the 3rd day. There is prize money for games won and placing. Usually around $300.00/team. There is no limit to the number of teams from one club. Just till the draw is full usually 24 teams. Currently we have not held a Marpole PCMCA for the last few years due to a lack of volunteers.
Our Game Time: Fridays, 9:40 am to 11:40 am
Seeking: Team or individual players
