Gary Sutcliffe passes

Long-time Marpole Curling Club member, Gary Sutcliffe, has passed away at 76. Gary was a devoted member and constant volunteer at MCC. Serving on the board for many years, Gary was the president from 2009 to 2012. Gary spent many years involved in the Brooms and Beer League and later the Masters League, both as a curler and a league rep. He also organized the Masters Bonspiel. If something was needed, Gary could be seen lending a hand doing whatever he could to help. Marpole Curling Club, your family and many friends will miss you Gary. Rest in peace.

About MCC

Our facility was built in 1959 and still holds the same inviting atmosphere that it did back then. With six sheets of ice, a cafe, bar/lounge, games room and meeting room, we are able to accommodate events of all kinds. We are continuing to work on our club to ensure it is up-to-date, while still respecting its history and character.

The Marpole Curling Club acknowledges that it is situated on the unceded traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.
