A beginner’s clinic is a great way to check out curling and see how much fun it is. We are hosting one on Thursday Sept 24th, 2015 at 7:00pm. The cost is $25.00 per person and usually lasts for 2 hours. Email Melinda at melinda@marpolecurling.ca to register. Space is limited. Dress in warm and comfortable layers and bring clean soled running shoes.
Marpole is excited to host this season’s first Beginner’s Clinic on September 17th, 2014 at 7:00 PM. This 2 hour clinic is designed for the novice curler. Coaches provide a basic safety overview and introduction to the game with a focus on sliding, sweeping and scoring. If you have ever thought about giving curling a try, this would be an enjoyable opportunity to sample the sport and test your abilities. It’s harder than it looks and more fun than you thought! The cost is $25.00 with all equipment provided. Clean soled athletic shoes are required. We recommend comfortable and warm layered clothing to allow for stretching and adjusting to the temperature. Did you watch the Olympics and think “I can do that!” Then sign up for our basic beginner’s clinics being held at 7:00pm to 9:00pm on Tuesday, April 1st or Wednesday, April 2nd. Only $20 per person and our instructors will have you sliding down the ice throwing a perfect rock in no time….Ok, maybe not a perfect rock and maybe it will take a little longer than no time but they will start you on your way.
