Gary Sutcliffe will remain on the board in the capacity of Past President. Gary has worked extremely hard for the club over the years as both a board member as well as a fellow curler. It was with great honor that Past President Sandra Krego presented Gary Sutcliffe with the Lifetime Membership Award for his long list of contributions to the club. His countless efforts have always been performed with integrity, commitment and authenticity and greatly contributed to the successful continuation of the club.

As Manager, I would like to say that I am looking forward to working with such a great team of Executives and Board Members.  Over the past months in this position as well as the past years as a club member, I have seen the volunteered hours that they have provided to the club, generating amazing outcomes such as leading leagues, coaching juniors, organizing bonspiels, securing advertising partners, club maintenance and countless other efforts that have benefited the club tremendously. The Board’s implementation of a strategic plan, integrating with all of the other functions they perform, provide the club with a promising future and I am proud to work beside them.

Many thanks go to the Marpole Curling Club Foundation for their extraordinary fundraising efforts throughout the season. Events such as the garage sale, plant sale and silent auction accumulated enough funds to generously donate a cheque to the Club for $10,000. Their contribution is respectfully appreciated and gratefully accepted.

Thank you MCC Foundation and Volunteers

A tremendously huge thank you to the MCC foundation and all the wonderful volunteers who pulled off yet another successful Garage Sale. It is truly amazing to see such stellar folks  put in so much time and effort for the benefit of the club. For weeks people came to the club, sorted, priced and packed up items. On the weekend of the sale, they were here extremely early setting up, then selling and tearing down just to do it all over again the next day. The BBQ was sizzling and the weather was perfect. A special thank you to Ken and Connie Bailey. Connie outdid herself this year with organizing every detail.

Again, on behalf of the staff and Board of Directors, a sincere thank you to everyone involved.
